Do you know God talks to us? It’s called His Word or Scripture. He loves fellowship and relationships with us. Try listening to God’s Word and tell me what you think. One of my all-time favorite verses is Zephaniah 3:17: The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty One who will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you with his love; He will exult over you with loud singing. In other words, God is head-over-heels in love with you and me! He often chooses to bask in this unconditional, deep love in silence. And I absolutely LOVE at other times the Lord exults (is elated, ecstatic) over us, not only with singing, but LOUD SINGING! (I do love my God Who is excited over His children!) That’s lavish love! Think of a mother and father singing over their children with their hearts bursting with love! God is doing that and more!
Now read this verse with your name in it. For example, state, “The Lord your God is in your midst, Cyndy, Jane, Joe, William, etc, a mighty One who will save! He will rejoice over you, Phoebe, Priscilla, Mark, John, with gladness, and so on!” The Lord is speaking directly to you and me. Feel His presence and His divine love. He gave His life for each person, so He wants us to know He cares about everything in our lives.
If you’re troubled, you might speak Proverbs 3:5-6 to yourself: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, Jill; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, Bobby, and He will show you which path to take.”
And when you need a boost or a sweet reminder what God thinks of you, recite Ephesians 2:10: “For we are God’s masterpiece, Kris. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.”
Some other suggestions are Deuteronomy 31:6, Philippians 4:19. John 3:16, and 1 John 14:27, and many more you can have fun finding on your own.
Let me know how the Lord blessed you. Did you feel His presence and his love more deeply? I bet you did.
